Author-Jeff Lederman
Jeff Lederman, who resides on Saltspring Island operates the Island Wildlife Natural Care Centre. He is a wildlife rehabilitator. A wildlife rehabilitator is a person who cares for injured animals and birds so that they can return to the wilderness. Each story deals with a particular bird or animal and situation. On Page 9, is the story of Lumina, a harbour seal and a killer whale and on page 84 there is a very touching story about a coyote, caught in a steel trap. Jeff writes about his rehabilitating owls, eagles, deer and other animals.
