Norman Hacking
---- One of BCs most adventurous pioneers, William Moore spent fifty
years chasing gold wherever it was found. From the Queen Charlottes to the
Fraser River, the Stikine, to the Cariboo, Big Bend on the Columbia River,
the Omineca, the Cassiar, the Klondike and finally, at age 78, he rushed to
Nome. He died in Victoria in 1909, having made and lost at least three
fortunes.
